Payment of part of the salary or other obligation, not in cash, but through the use, consumption, or obtaining of goods, rights, or services for free or at a lower than market price, such as the free use of a house or the granting of soft loans. Examples of in-kind compensation include the free use of a house by employees, daycare vouchers, or the granting of soft loans.
